Extreme weather and cancellation

Extreme weather can happen in the Mourne Mountains. The race directors monitor the weather in the week leading up to the races, and make the decision close to the time of the event.

In less severe weather, the race directors may run a bad weather route, which will be passed on to runners at the earliest opportunity. In the most extreme cases, the event may have to be postponed or cancelled. We may also change the course, shorten a race, or cancel or postpone the event for other safety concerns or circumstances outside our control.

Entry fees are not refunded in these cases. Refund protection, if you added it when you entered, follows its own terms. See transfers and refunds.
