Granite Peaks Ultras is run by its two race directors, Matt O’Reilly and Ciarán McAleenan, in Northern Ireland. We are responsible for the personal information you give us, and we handle it under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

What we collect, and why

• Early entry list. The details you give on our early entry form, so we can tell you when entries open. The form is run on Google Forms.
• Volunteer sign-ups. The details you give on our volunteer form (name, contact details, T-shirt size, availability and anything you choose to tell us), so we can organise volunteers. The form is handled by Netlify, our website host.
• Email updates. Your email address, if you sign up, so we can send race news. Our email service is MailerLite. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Race entries. When you enter, SiEntries collects the details on the entry form on our behalf, including emergency contact and any medical information you choose to give. We use these to organise the race and keep you safe.
• Race weekend. Your name, results and GPS tracking during the race (for safety, and so friends and family can follow you). Photos and video taken at the event may be used to promote Granite Peaks Ultras.

This website itself doesn’t use cookies, analytics or tracking. The maps load their images and elevation data from OpenFreeMap, Amazon Web Services and Esri, which, like any website, see your device’s internet address when they do.

Who we share it with

Only the services above, and the timing, tracking, safety and licensing partners who help deliver the race, where they need it. We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

Medical and emergency-contact details from your entry are deleted 3 months after the event. Other entry details are kept by SiEntries for up to 3 years after the event. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or stop receiving emails at any time. Email us at the address below.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
