Volunteers
A mountain race only happens because volunteers give their time on the hill, at aid stations and at the finish.
Roles
- Aid station and water point crews. Run a station on the course: food and drinks for runners, cut-off times, and keeping race control informed.
- Registration and kit check. Welcome runners, hand out race numbers and check mandatory kit before the start.
- Start line crews. Get each race away on time: one crew for each of the three starts.
- Finish crew. Welcome every finisher home and look after them at the finish, which runs from the first 100K finisher to the last.
- Marshals and sweepers. Keep runners safe and on course, and sweep behind the back of the field.
What you get
- A free race T-shirt
- Free entry to the Granite Peaks Ultras race of your choice in 2028, if you volunteer for more than 8 hours
- Emergency kit and communications devices for your shift
- Refreshments throughout your volunteering sessions
